Hurricane Helene Storm Response

Last Updated: 10/2/24 @ 9:30 am

We are experiencing high demand due to Hurricane Helene. We will keep this page updated with any new information for our customers.

We understand that those moving to or from affected areas, as well as customers with belongings stored in our local facilities, may have concerns during this time. Below is the latest update on our services:

GA, FL and TN Locations:
All of our Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee facilities remain open. However, some routes may be affected due to local conditions. Please stay updated on any potential delays.

North Carolina Facilities:
All of our North Carolina facilities remain open. However, some routes may be affected due to local conditions. Road closures in Western North Carolina are affecting our ability to deliver containers. If your delivery is impacted, we will reach out to you directly. Please stay updated on any potential delays.

Long-Distance Customers:
If you are moving to or from an area impacted by Tropical Storm Helene, your order may face delays. We are working to minimize disruptions and will reach out to customers affected by changes in schedule.

Recommendations:

We understand you may be worried about the safety of your belongings, whether stored on-site or at a local facility. Rest assured, we are doing everything possible to keep your items secure. Should any customers be directly impacted, we will notify you immediately.

If your container is currently stored at your home, we advise you to remove any high-value items and place them at the highest possible elevation if flooding is a concern. Additionally, avoid placing water-damaged items in the container, as it is designed to keep moisture out—and in. Make sure any wet items are completely dry before storing them.

Please stay informed by following all warnings from local and state authorities. For more updates, tune into your local news, visit the National Hurricane Center’s website, or—if you’re in Florida—check out FloridaDisaster.org for important resources.

FAQs

1. I have suffered damages due to the hurricane and need a container. Can you help?
We are reacting as quickly as possible to the storm response and we are accepting reservations on a first-come first-served basis. We expect containers to be available within the next 10-14 days, but a member of our team will contact you with firmer dates if you submit a quote request.

2. Are my belongings safe in the container?
We recommend removing high-value or water-sensitive items in the event of potential flooding. Keep these items at the highest point in your home until the risk has passed.

3. Does my Contents Protection Plan cover my belongings?
Not all items are covered by the Contents Protection Plan. Please review your agreement to understand what is included.
